POETIC DELIGHTS BY ABBAH JUSTINA-NIGERIA
1-Don't Worry About Them.
Don't worry about them
The same way they left,
The same way they
Will come back
Don't worry about it
The same river that
Flow from your eyes
The same river will
Wash your pains and
Glow in your heart.
Don't worry about
The passing hours
The same time that
Fades away, will be
Amiably renewed
Don't worry about those
that laughed at you,
The same mouths
That mock you ,
Those same mouths
Will celebrate you.
So do not worry,
Those situations
That hit you
Can still turn back
And bless you.
Do not worry my friend.
Hakuna Matata !!!
2-STOP BENUE KILLING
Benue: A Plea for Peace
BENUE! once serene and free
Echoes of violence and sorrow
Is what we now see
The invaders emerge like shadows
Killing both young and old like cows
Fields once lush with harvests
now stained with grief and tears.
Oh, land of the verdant river,
This tragedy, a game of political rival
Who don't care whether lives are lost unjustly
Because their thrones are made from
This very blood shards and dry bones
So just like Pharaoh they seat on their thrones , watch and see
As the river turn into the red sea.
When voices raise and cry for help
They try to silent them, saying you speak against their reign
But the true throne of mercy shall rain.
Stop the Benue killing now
Let compassion be our song,
For Benue, for Nigeria, where we all belong.
3-The Israeli-Palestinian Madness
Why not do something different?
Instead of this same old story of war?
A tale of sorrow, you always tell
Countries where peace never dwell
Remember, hate never cures hate
Only the divine flame of love do
Darkness never get rid of darkness
Only the radiance of light can do that
