POETIC DELIGHTS BY SHIKAR MOHAMMED KIBRIAH-BANGLADESH
1. Rail-line or Riverine
With a surprise I perceive it is stronger
Than telepathy
As It is truly a telekinesis.
Recent topsy-turvy made me puzzled
To think it like a rail-line or riverbanks.
I am rapt if it is riverine or like a rail-line.
It is, either appeared just like a rail-line
Passing through the midst of city life,
Crowd, hill-tracts, forests and
Lonely landscape,
Or, a river that's cool, calm and gently
Flowing through the human habitation
Of true ordinary life
Instinctively holds a lovely nature,
Culture and artistic skill visually
In the landscape of vast cornfield
Where paddy, yellow mustard,
Pasturage
With a grazing herd, a banyan shadow,
Shepherds
And swamps, bitterns, marsh paddy,
Darker plumage cormorant portrait
Its banks
Enlarged to the nearest downing sky
With boats, boatmen and touchy
Downstream songs.
Riverbanks, face to face, like a rail-line
Even if the rail-line cannot touch
Their breadth or depth, but
The highness of our harmonic thoughts
Overflows the banks of the river
While you told me a tale just what
I wanted to tell you.
2. A Half Lying Moon
If my sense of dream would be a sensitivity
I could have a mild moon in my hand
Like a half lying fair lady.
I have a white pigeon living in my mind
That holds dreams of love, peace and beauty
In her white feather.
Even if I could not realize how a sensitive dream
Could be a song of human light
When our sensible deer is often bloodied
By the dream killer human tiger!
Who could believe in having a dreamy fruit
From this bad dream tree!
And who can conceive a dreamy child
And break her barrenness!
I won't return to this perceptive world
And will be hung up in my dreamt sky
As a half lying moon.
With a waking sleep I'll have a dream
Of just picking----
3. Skyline
Magic of limited fallacy
In unlimited outer space.
It's illusion—says scientists.
.
I see deepest blue at daytime,
Unlimited astral garden
When night comes.
Is it really an illusion of blue,
Or a dispersion-scatter plot
Of astral lightning?
Limitation of eyeshot builds a blue sky
Visually existent! Then should I tell you
Disability has an amazing ability too?
Imagine, no sky here actually.
No cover for eyesight
Or any landing spot.
Vision nevertheless going on—
A nonstop going
Vanishes nothingness, hence
How long?
Thoughtful ship sinks into a foggy sea-like blue;
Spaceship rounds in sky-like nothingness
Leaving behind sky after sky.
Therefore, real sky? Seven skies? House of God?
No, nothing! Is it possible? If yes, then how and
where He would be resided to be creative!
Someone sings in a nearby hut—
"Millions of stars in the sky;
but moon is only one"!
Rushed to the spot and asked—
"where's the sky?"
He has raised his hand to the up;
Dark night has captured the blue sky
Even though well set bulbs are shining.
"Where is the moon?"
Setting two hands on the cheek of his wife,
He says,
"This is the moon"!
A meaningful speculation of nothingness
Brightens a beautiful skyline and vanishes all
Of cloudy atmosphere from the existing sky.
