1-RAIN THAT LOVES

The rain that loves me comes by

knocking on the roofs of houses as if to

remind about the coming cold so small

rivers on the leaves.

Silent, is a good place to bloom,

while feeling the echo of the wind,

although later, will always be found to be loved.

There is nothing to celebrate Let alone

remembering the past. Because he was

the last person in his place, while the

others had gone first who knows where.

2-DREAMS IN THE MIDDLE

OF THE SEASON

From you the water recedes

And from me it flows onward

So lets head to a dream

So that my body-your body

Does not go astray to the ten paths That we often pass.

You and I

Just a trap

And thats not what we want Because

the body is just a poem Which is written

over and over again When the waves head towards the beach.

3-SUNSET AND DRIZZLE

Sunset and drizzle

Often we see, and it

Makes me want to always be together.

Once,

We ignored it

But it always comes

Is this what is called

Spring; while all I have finished writing for both of them.

Sunset and drizzle,

Like a pair of brides

Never finished taking

The journey to reach the destination.

Edy Samudra Kertagama As a poet and director. Invited to National and International literary-

theater meetings. Since 1979 Has directed 123 theater performance scripts by both Indonesian

and Foreign authors with Kuman Theater Studies. He has been invited to various literary

meetings including: 1. Rumahitam Andalas Arts Forum (RAAF) and Temu Sastrawan Sumatera

(TSS) Batam in 2008. 2. Nusantara Poet Festival Sempena The2 Kediri International Poetry

Gathering, Kediri in 2008, 3. Indonesian Poet Festival Medan Poet Poet Competition in 2009.

Invited to the Nusantara Poet Meeting and Festival held at the Language and Library Council,

Kuala Lumpur and Rumah PENA Kuala Lumpur in 2009. 2016 International Literature Seminar

at Gajah Mada University In addition to writing poetry, essays, pantuns and stage scripts, Edy

Samudra Kertagama is also known as a theater director and actor, he has explored and staged

various performances with the Kumannya theater which was founded in 1979. 

His poetry books that have been published in Anthologies: Kering (1997), Nyanyian Sunyi

(2002), Short poems Embun Putih (2004), Mantra Sang Nabi (2016), Kereta Gandeng and Sajak

Burung Rajawali (2019), Senja dan Gerimis (2024) and Arutala (2024). Awards and Certificates

from various countries. In addition, the poems have also been published in 40 foreign media.

As Artistic Director of Kuman Theater Study and Mata Dunia Literature House and Director

General of CIESART Indonesia.
