PROSIC AND POETIC DELIGHTS BY RINI VALENTIA-INDONESIA

 1. THE LOST COLD IN CARSTENSZ PYRAMIDS

He who for thousands of years still existstin, remains, stumbling at the high

temperatures, only leaving traces, will be forgotten for a moment. He will no longer be

there wrapping the body of the bluish mountains, Jayawijaya and the Carstensz

Pyramids that were once shrouded in silence wrapped in eternal snow that is no longer

eternal.

Glaciers for thousands of years have passed at the speed of light no longer belong to us.

Whether he will return or forever leave shabby memories in the shade of pine trees,

holding back sadness, staring silently at the sound of water falling between the

mountain rocks.

It could be a sad story that passes or a beautiful memory dressed in white that

eventually becomes shabby, shabby and wrapped in groans. Melting down the silent

mountains, heartache buried. Lost in the series of Carstensz mountains that no longer

have eternal snow. Leaving a beautiful story of how its peak once hypnotized tourists.

He who millions of time before my birth, once praised mother earth in this archipelago,

he is now weak and helpless. He is destroyed, burned by the fierce sun, he was still

towering high but tired and hit, he was unable to withstand the departure of the eternal

snow that was no longer everlasting....

2. BLUE OCEAN

The anxiety you told me last night, pierces my soul today. About the plastic that

embraces the lion cubs, about the oil that ensnares the shark babies and mother turtles.

About humans who have no heart when throwing millions of waste until the blue of

your ocean metamorphoses, stabbing the blue sky that no longer has the right to be a

mirror when the sun shines fiercely.

You told me how the wound of the blue whale looms sadly in the blanket that buries it in

a pool of thick liquid. Waste that breaks into oily islands, captures thousands of ocean

people taking them to heaven. They die in vain because humans wallow in hearts as cold

as frozen rocks at the South Pole. They forget the dreams of the children of the ocean

dwellers.

The blue ocean under the blue sky, the screams of your wounds increasingly stab the

soul. The desperate cries of the high waves, crashing. I sink ... sinking further and

further until I forget where the land is. I am the one who feel the sadness of whales,

sharks, sea lions and thousands of fish. I am far immersed in ... surrendering in the

silence of the night ...

Blue ocean, you are a mother who complains because of ungodly humans, you are a

father who chokes on the blows of his child. You are tormented by the cruel of treatment

of humans who pamper their selfishness! You are wounded ... you are sad-eyed with

tears hidden in the ripples and waves. You are there struggling, enduring, wiping away

the tears without tears.

3. YOUNG BEGGAR

Don't blame the school or parents when the homeless are as fertile as grape plants in the

care of organic fertilizer and cow dung.

And don't blame the young generation became homeless who lie miserable on the edge

of supermarkets and under flyovers.

They are victims of the arrogance of land owners who are often racist and

discriminatory. As if there is no gap to give opportunities to currency fighters when they

have to replace the pillars of fortune.

So, when many young beggars wrap the night under the sky, befriending crime, having

sex with cruelty, then stabbing because of hunger, whose fault is it?

Young beggars, in fact you are a generation that is cornered by the situations,

sometimes doing terrible and sometimes doing like an angel.
